I have received an SMS requesting a Reference Check, is it legitimate?

When an employer invites you to complete a Reference Check, you will receive an email from SEEK Pass asking you to nominate your referees. If you have an Australian or New Zealand phone number on your SEEK Profile, you may also receive an SMS notification of your invitation.

If you have an Australian number, the sender ID for the message will be SEEKPASS.

If you have a New Zealand number, the sender ID will be 2901.

Please get in touch with our Support team if you receive an SMS that contains a different sender ID.
