Right to Work verification is a service provided by SEEK Pass that enables job seekers to verify their right to work in Australia through an easy online process and share this verified result on SEEK.
In doing so, SEEK Pass makes it easy for you as a job seeker to stand out to potential employers early in the recruitment process while enabling employers to see which candidates best suit their requirements for a role.
What do I need to provide?
To verify your right to work, we ask you to provide a government-issued document that we can reconcile with the relevant government database or authority, or as otherwise prescribed, in order to prove your status as an Australian citizen or evidence your Australian working rights as per your valid Australian visa.
If you are an Australian citizen, you will need to provide one of the following documents to verify your right to work in Australia:
- Australian Passport (not more than three years expired)
- Australian Birth Certificate
- Australian Citizenship Certificate
If you are a New Zealand citizen, you need to provide a New Zealand Passport.
If you are a neither an Australian citizen nor a New Zealand citizen, you will need to provide one of the following documents
- Australian Visa Grant Notice (which displays your passport number)
- Document for Travel to Australia
- ImmiCard
- Titre de Voyage
Rest assured that SEEK Pass is purpose-built with security as our top priority. SEEK Pass will never share your results or underlying information without your consent, and your sensitive information remains private and securely encrypted. You can find out more on our dedicated Security page.
